On arrival at the beach the sight of Jon and others planing solidly on 4.7s greeted me so I rigged 5.2+waveboard. But as feared and forecasted the wind dropped below threshold just before launching. Arse. I took a trip to dunces corner and back and was on the brink of calling it quits there and then but the sight of Jim planing off the beach having changed up to his bigger board tempted me into doing the same. The result - 45mins of 50% planing. Just about enough to make the session worth the effort. Just. |
